The Community Livelihoods Project (CLP) is mitigating local causes of instability throughout rural and urban areas in Yemen. CLP is working nationwide to engage communities to meettheir needs, build local organizational capacity, increase employment opportunities, improve access to quality services, promote community participation, and strengthen local governance capacity. CLP works closely with local councils, local organizations, youth associations and communities to identify targets of opportunity that address the root causes of unrest. Activities are coordinated and delivered through direct implementation, grants, and sub-awards.\\CLP activities began in July 2010 and will run through July 2015. CLP is funded and administered by USAID and implemented by Creative Associates International.\\CLP partners include Partners for Democratic Change (PDC), CHF International (CHF), Yemen Education for Employment Foundation (YEFE), Pathfinder International (PI), Social Fund for Development (SFD), and the Al-Khair Foundation for Social Development (AKF).
