George Town Literary Festival Details
Held annually in the UNESCO World Heritage site of George Town, Penang, the George Town Literary Festival (GTLF) is an international platform for intellectual discourse on world literature, translations and literary arts. It is an initiative by the State Government of Penang and remains one of few, free festivals open to the public.Beginning with a panel of five writers in 2011, the GTLF has grown into Malaysia's largest literary festival and one of the world's best. It was the proud recipient of the Literary Festival Award at the International Excellence Awards 2018 organised by the London Book Fair in partnership with The Publishers Association.
