An initiative by the GirlUp foundation was created in 2010 by the UN Foundation as an initiative to help UN agencies to help and support girls.We, at GirlUp Aarohi, are the official committee at Amity Law School, Noida of the foundation who work as change-makers around the globe, aiming to change the mindsets of people towards a positive outlook. We are here to enlighten people with knowledge and bring about a change in the conservative mindsets of many individuals which still remain today.OUR AIM:Our aim here at GirlUp Aarohi is to spread awareness on gender domination in the field of law and issues with regards to that and create a positive mindset for people by providing adequate resources allowing for participants to have someone they can look up to and make everyone understand the gender-based inequality that exists in the field and in life in general. We also aim to talk about other social issues and problems, and hence, are here to make a change.OUR VISION:Our vision is to bring about a change to something Learned Senior Advocate Indra Jaising had said, that the legal profession is threatened by competent female lawyers. In a society where people look out for courts to resolve their grievances when such disparity exists it shows that society needs to address the injustice and chauvinism and we are here to do so.
