HAI is a global Indian NGO working to alleviate poverty, hunger and suffering. HAI is a not for profit organization under the Indian Trusts Act, founded by a team of humanitarian and development professionals with a collective global experience of over 300 years. The organizational purpose is to establish a global aid institution founded and headquartered in India to extend effective and efficient humanitarian assistance and invest in sustainable and resilient development to eradicate poverty and hunger.The models of development and humanitarian architecture have largely been defined by the western world for the developing world. HAI aspires to evolve development and humanitarian paradigms based on Indian traditional practices, but informed by western architecture and Indian experience, by galvanising efforts and resources within and without the country.
