Heal for Africa is a youth-led non-governmental and not for profit organization committed to transforming Africa through health, social and economic empowerment of women and girls whilst promoting good health and well being via educational and community-based programs, especially in under-served communities. The acronyms HEAL stands for Health Education and Advocacy for a Sustainable Livelihood. These embody our core aims and objectives in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 and 5: Good Health and Wellbeing and Gender equality. However, the work we do invariably contributes to achieving some other SDGs.We have launched two projects so far.PAY ATTENTION TO HER projectThe Pay Attention To Her (PATH) project aims at empowering women and girls through sexual and reproductive health education and empowering women and girls across Africa with knowledge and skills to develop their personal capacity, harness their full potentials and contribute to the development of their families and the nation. HEAL THE SLUMS projectThe #HealTheSlums project is geared towards impacting the lives of the poor, needy and hard to reach population with programs centered around health education and medical outreaches. This project is dedicated to these group of people to give them a sense of belonging to the society and so doing renewing their hope for a better tomorrow. Activities include free medical outreach, deworming of children, education on prevention of common communicable disease, distribution of stationery for school children, food and household items. In addition to having a merry and fun time with interaction and feedback. We are currently operating in these locations: Kogi, Abuja, Enugu, Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun
