Help A Child Graduate (HACG) is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) registered with the Department of Social Development of South Africa with the focus on assisting historically disadvantaged rural and township learners with various educational and self-empowering programmes such as motivational talks, provision of supplementary education from foundation to senior phase, mentorship and funding for tertiary education studies . The organisation is also registered with the South African Revenue Services (SARS) as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) to provide donors with Tax exemption for the amount donated to HACG The programme will fulfil its aim by: 1. Providing students with textbooks, meals, accommodation and a support structure 2. Raising funds and receive contributions where appropriate to fund learners/students 3. Giving awareness to rural areas about tertiary education to have more learners interested in furthering their studies 4. Having students who were funded by HACG commit to tutoring and helping out in the community during their school holidays. 5. Establishing University social & academic societies working on some objectives of the organisation throughout the year 6. Working with similar groups and exchange information and advice where applicable.
