Fund-raising - Irvine, California, United States
Founded in September 2011 by Brian Hutchison, recovering patient and ongoing success story of TBI recovery, the Hutch Foundation is fueled by personal passion and first-hand experience in managing challenge, change and ongoing care resources. Our mission for the future is to be a forward-thinking and leading resource for caregivers, patients and their families who are seeking to improve expectations and achievements in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) recovery. With over 1.5 million Americans experiencing TBI each year, and with recovery expectations as low as they are, our work is dedicated to researching, developing and implementing more innovative and integrated methods of care than exist today. In this way, more patients and families may experience better quality of life.Hutch Foundation is about "Instilling Hope and Building Confidence" for TBI recovery among children and adults alike. We plan to provide educational forums and to develop enhanced resources for awareness, advocacy, solutions and unique programs for those who are in need and those who serve the TBI community. Our GOAL is to build a one-of-a-kind virtual and brick and mortar treatment and therapy Center to facilitate education and support programs for patients and their caregivers. For therapists and medical professionals, we are seeking like-minded collaborators to help us challenge current methodologies and to influence change among the TBI community at large. Hutch Foundation filed in September, 2011 for non-profit 501c3 status and is currently pending, in good standing.
