i&I Mentor for America strives to bridge the extracurricular enrichment gap for the youth of America by developing sustainable mentoring experiences for college students through coaching.i&I Mentor for America leverages college students with a passion for sports to become coaches for teams of underprivileged youth. i&I recruits, trains, and places coaches in local sports leagues for underserved kids and connects them with college students as coaches. Youth from disadvantaged backgrounds get a fun and safe environment to be active and engaged and to play sports, while college students participate in a valuable internship program that is similar to Teach for America. Ultimately, we want to empower disadvantaged youth by revolutionizing the world of coaching youth sports.
