Our mission, as a part of the Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC), is:- To promote the research of cardiopulmonary resuscitation through the management and analysis of data retrieved from the scientific projects: RIAC-EuReCa.- To promote the research of neuropsychological disorders in survivors who experienced a cardiac arrest, with particular interest to the epidemiology of the possible neuropsychological conditions like: deficits of learning abilities, memory and cognitive processes; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); disorders of ability to adapt, angst and mood.- Evaluation of the survivor's quality life through clinical reports and self-assessment test.- Evaluation of the emotional commitment of bystanders and rescuers who are involved during a cardiopulmonary resuscitation.- Assessment of the effectiveness of the tests used to identify the survivor's neuropsychological disorder.- Assessment of the effectiveness of the available interventions for survivors' psychological support and for their families.- Identification and evaluation of the new goal-oriented interventions focused on reduction of the neuropsychological consequences in survivors and their families.
