Melbourne Pioneer (MP), initiated in 2011, is a volunteer service-based nonprofit association. Its aim is to organize international students studying in Melbourne to participate in various volunteer activities. Through this method, MP is dedicated to help international students and young people integrate into the local communities and enlarge their social network. At the same time, MP is trying to make a contribution to the local community.Up to now, MP has nearly 4,000 registered volunteers active in different fields of social activities. MP collects information of volunteer services and routinely releases information through the public accounts. Meanwhile, MP is organising its own volunteering programs related to social services.
