Nonprofit Organization Management - Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Founded in 1985 as a new club or 'spin-off' club from the older and original Downtown Minneapolis Rotary Club, The Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club celebrates it's 30th year in 2015. The club has grown to become one of the largest and most successfully involved clubs in District 5950 and the region. The Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary has approximately 105 members (of which approximately 20-30% women which is higher than the Rotary average). We aren't "your father's Rotary Club;" while we are seeking greater diversity all the time, and we actually look a lot like the face of Minneapolis. We have compelling programs and are an active audience. Whether members live or work downtown, or not, each feels an affiliation to the city. Active in all aspects of Rotary's Avenues of Service, the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club (COLRC) serves as a steadfast leader in community, vocational, international and new generations service both at home and abroad. The Club's service projects cross the spectrum of community well-being, health, education, through economic and vocational development on several continents.
