MTN is a membership organisation with a mission to bring people and resources together to improve infrastructure and opportunities for new musical theatre in the UK. Our membership is a national network of venues, producers, colleges, directors, organisations and individuals involved in developing or staging new musicals. In partnership with our members, MTN works to strengthen and diversify the new musical theatre sector nationwide, and so support development of the artform. Membership is open to anyone working professionally in musical theatre and provides access to a wide range of networks, advice, events and opportunities. Come and join our fast-growing community of independent producers, directors, venues and colleges alongside the likes of ATG, Curve, Katy Lipson, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Tania Azevedo, The Other Palace and Jamie Wilson Productions. Come and help us shape the future of musical theatre across the UK. Musical Theatre Network (previously Musical Theatre Matters) was set up in 2005 to meet an identified need for a forum to champion musical theatre and provide a resource for all those working in the genre. Since that point we have grown into an organisation that has attracted members from the largest theatre owners and producers through independent directors and producers to educational establishments and the most adventurous Fringe theatre spaces.In partnership with Mercury Musical Developments we make up part of Arts Council England's National Portfolio. MTN works with, and on behalf of, its members to:- Advocate for increased support of new British musical theatre – greater investment in terms of money and time, more productions and growing audiences- Facilitate improved communication, more connections and closer collaboration within a diverse, UK-wide musical theatre community- Encourage best practice in staging new musical theatre and nurturing the artform's development.
