Orange Home Grown (OHG) was started in 2009 as a grass-roots effort by a group of Orange residents dedicated to bringing locally grown, nutrient-dense, sustainable food to their community. Their hard work & determination created the foundation for this community-based 501 c3 non-profit committed to serving their community. OHG is the founder and operator of the weekly Saturday Orange Home Grown Farmer's and Artisans Market. We also operate and manage the OHG Education Farm. This is an urban agriculture space dedicated to providing hands-on learning to anyone interested in learning how to grown food. OHG also operates a Youth Food Literacy Program for high school students, an annual scholarship program, and co-manages the Orange Seed Lending Library in partnership with the Orange Public Library Foundation.
