The farm, founded in 1936 by the maternal grandfather, today covers about two hundred hectares, one-third cultivated with varieties of Nero d'Avola, Frappato, Syrah, Catarratto, Insolia, Grillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot and Viognier, among the most renowned varieties for Sicilian and international enology.It is about a harmonious project going from the meticulous care of grape processing to the selection of the best bunches to the cellars, where an accurate control of all production stages takes place through the most modern equipment for vinification. This is all under the supervision of the oenologist Antonio Landolfi, who combines creativity, expert knowledge of our grapes with the most innovative fermentation and vinification systems.With about 50 seasonal employees and a team of agronomists specialists who closely follow all pre-and post-production phases, the farm is constantly seeking an increasingly high quality standard for all the products. That has enticed the Patrì farm to use sustainable environmental and pest management methods, with the aim to protect the water resources of the soils by means of reduced environmental impact products, in fact the company has acceded to the GAP Protocol (Good Agricultural Practice) which defines the good agricultural practices related to essential elements for the development of the best farming techniques. Nothing is left to chance. The environment is considered an important factor of production, to the point that the company has chosen to use photovoltaic energy both for their cellars and subsoil water extraction.Today more than ever, being en entrepreneur in Italy requires passion courage and more importantly competence.
