Rogue Pack facilitates storytelling theater workshops for marginalized youth. We help disconnected at-risk, homeless and/or incarcerated youth write their unique stories and then aid them in developing a script through writing workshops which assist in the script creation, organization, editing, directing and rehearsal process under the guidance of theater professionals. Youth create an original play through a combination of writing development and theatrical training, focusing on their personal stories, cultures, and self expression, culminating in a performance open to the public.RP's primary goal is to engage and empower youth by helping them write their personal stories and share them in the theatrical process, motivating them to stay in school, pursue new goals, and connect with their community. We facilitate workshops on collaboration, ensemble, improvisation, writing, acting and introduction to theatre. Specialty courses with an emphasis on performance skills and technical theatre are taught by professional guest artists. Further development of scripts, drafting and editing help students devise a performance piece that is self directed and improves writing skills. Students have the option to perform or work behind the scenes during rehearsals and performances. RP's mission is to create a community where youth transcend social barriers by taking ownership of their stories through theater arts. We facilitate storytelling theater workshops for underserved youth. Our staff of theatre professionals help them write their unique stories and then aid them in developing and devising a script through writing and performance workshops in script creation, organization, editing, directing and the rehearsal process under the guidance of theater professionals.
