Furthermore, 25% of western pharmaceuticals are derived using a plant or enzyme from the rainforest. Scientists believe these rainforests and oceans may hold the cure to some of the world's most fatal diseases, like cancer. The ocean is home to millions of species that have not been discovered or analyzed for medicinal purposes.
