The Center for Fraud Prevention is a national organization dedicated to reducing the risk of fraud in youth sports association. Theft, fraud and embezzlement costs U.S. groups more than $400 billion a year. Youth sports associations are particularly vulnerable this type of crime. Most volunteer organization do not have the financial controls to identify or prevent embezzlement. The Center for Fraud Prevention has designed a program to help prevent the types of fraud that are unique to youth sports associations. By becoming a member of the Center and implementing this program, your organization will significantly reduce the risk of fraud. The Center's Fraud Prevention Program will focus on the following: - Increase awareness of fraud - Review of Internal Controls - Implementation of Best Practices Board members of youth sports leagues are encouraged to contact the Center to become a member.
