The Shakespeare Institute of Nevada is a nonprofit cultural arts and education organization.Since its founding in 2008, the company has entertained tens of thousands of people at venues ranging from Lake Las Vegas to the Henderson Pavillion to the Springs Preserve to dinner theater at upscale restaurants. It recently partnered with the City of Las Vegas for a daylong Taste of Shakespeare festival at Hills Park in SummerlinThe Shakespeare Institute of Nevada also runs the Shakespeare in the Classroom program, an active educational outreach in partnership with the Clark County School District, which has recognized the company for its efforts. Our Shakespeare in the Classroom program provides performances, lectures, and educational outreach in public and private schools across southern Nevada from K-12. Our Touring Company brings Shakespeare to theaters, schools, parks, libraries, and through public and private events and organizations across southern Nevada while our resident company performs free full-length shows throughout the year at our 455-seat theater, The Shakespeare Playhouse.The company develops its own talent through year-round Shakespeare workshops that are open to everyone. Taught by professional directors, coaches, and actors, the workshops provide immersion into the works of Shakespeare, hone the skills of professional and aspiring actors alike, and help develop poise and public speaking skills. The Shakespeare Institute of Nevada has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)(3) charitable organization carrying on the charitable mission of providing uplifting entertainment and bringing a greater appreciation of the arts to the Silver State.
