People Like You promotes and is an advocate for mental wellbeing and recovery from mental illness. We empower people to embrace the recovery journey and realise their potential.Our main project - The Fresh Project - is a recovery and mental wellbeing program that is located on a 30 acre property on the outskirts of melbourne. It is a community of like minded people who choose to focus on what we can do, rather than what we can't. We focus on health, wellbeing and community. See www.facebook.com/freshproject for more.Dr Cameron Ralph is the founder and CEO/Chairman of The People Like You Foundation. Dr Ralph's journey through schizophrenia showed him that the mental health sector was not catering to the needs of young people. Dr Ralph launched People Like You in 2008 to address this gap in the mental health system. Dr Ralph is currently a postdoctoral research fellow a the Univerisity of Mississippi Medical Centre, where his research research focuses on the neuroendocrine basis of reproductive disease. He has publications in national and international journals together with a wealth of teaching, lecturing and public speaking experience. After 5 years of treatment Cameron took control of his life and has now been medication and treatment free for many years.
