Africa's food and agribusiness sector must start by attracting a new generation of youthful 'agripreneurs.' There is, therefore, need to train unemployed youth and small/medium size farmers on entrepreneurship, how to raise their productivity, reduce their post-harvest loss, improve their capacity to commercialize their agricultural activities, and use innovative technologies.TransFarm Ventures mission is to train, mentor and build capacity of the youth and women to make them active agents of socio-economic change and position them as viable participants in agricultural value chain, leadership and governance in society both at the community, national and regional levels.We aim at professionalizing agriculture in Kenya and Africa by leveraging education, technology and making agriculture attractive and market-centered. We are established to make small-scale farming rewarding through quality production, sustainable agricultural practices, and youth & women empowerment on agribusiness value-chains.
