USI is an independent Think Tank non-partisan, non-political and non-governmental research organization based in Islamabad provide analysis platform that focuses on Defense and Strategic Affairs, study and policy recommendations on the issue of strategic national importance particularly focusing on current restive geopolitics and geostrategic milieu around Pakistan where internal and external threats to the national security have become too challenging to be dealt by any single state organization.The USI endeavors to create a better understanding of security, counter-terrorism, strategic and social issues, and the ongoing conflicts in the region among the concerned stakeholders through undertaking independent, impartial and objective research and analysis.
