The mission of the Morven Kitchen Garden (MKG) is to provide UVA students opportunities to learn, lead, and connect through sustainably growing food. The one acre garden is part of UVA's Morven Programs and is located thirteen miles from Grounds at Morven, a 2,913 acre farm owned by the UVA Foundation. At MKG, UVA students sustainably grow and tend vegetables, flowers, herbs, and bees. MKG crops are used in our two season CSA program, wholesaled to UVA Dine, donated to area nonprofits, and used in educational programming. UVA students are central to the garden and involved in all aspects of the MKG program. Students can volunteer at garden workdays, be part of the leadership team, and/or intern at the garden for a semester or summer.
