Vetero is a volunteer organization with the main goal of providing immediate meteorological and environmental real time information support for the deployment of humanitarian operations in areas affected by a natural disaster. This is accomplished via an intergrated web interface that allows coordinators and staff in the field to view all relevant information. This could include your own real time operational information and situation reports. After a major natural disaster, it is common that the internal government agencies in the affected areas are not capable of functioning normally or at all. In most cases the international community (both governments and non-governmental organizations) offer assistance under some level of coordination (e.g. OCHA). Vetero wants to ensure that humanitarian agencies use reliable and official weather information as part of their daily decision making.
