To enhance the independence and quality of life of Veterans, First Responders, Correctional Officers who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and service related injuries by the training, support and assistance of quality task trained service dogs to provide increased independence through rehabilitation.By providing self training programs and mentoring of a recipients own dog or a dog donated to the charity by custom training at no cost to them, we are able to alleviate the stress and isolation whilst boosting independence through advocacy, networking and support.To strengthen the bonds and relieve stress for families of recipients and offer a safe, effective non-pharmaceutical therapeutic intervention for the treatment of PTSD.To Educate the public to accept the use of service dogs in public places and increase awareness of the rights and roles of Service Dog Teams through education and advocacy.
