Women Impact Now (WIN) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit consortium established to empower disadvantaged women to create dynamic change socially, physically, educationally, spiritually and financially. The word "disadvantaged" is defined as lacking the normal or usual necessities and comforts of life, as proper housing, educational opportunities, job security, adequate medical care, etc. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, American women remain disadvantaged in terms of pay, promotion prospects and work-life balance. Other areas of concern include educational attainment and labor force participation, legal maternity rights and family-friendly workplaces, and presence of women in positions of power. Women make as little as 77 cents for every dollar that men earn for equivalent work. WIN believes that education is the process of human enlightenment and empowerment for a better and higher quality of life. It is the cornerstone of woman's empowerment as well, because it enables them to respond to opportunities, to challenge their traditional roles and to change their lives for the betterment of themselves, their families and the society at large. Therefore, WIN will provide education by giving quality resources/programs which will enable women to gain the knowledge, status, positive self esteem, self confidence, necessary courage and inner strength to face every challenge in their lives. Our programs will include identifying professional clothing, professional development opportunities, financial education, mentoring support and networking opportunities as a need for women entering or re-entering the workforce.
