Nonprofit Organization Management - Miami, Florida, United States
Women Voice Network (WVN) is a 501(c)3 established in 2016. The organization is dedicated to educating, inspiring, encouraging, and empowering women. WVN created online job training programs, workshops, and videos to bring awareness to domestic violence, human trafficking, bullying, missing children, and many other vital issues. Our comprehensive program includes an economic empowerment component through technical training and job placement, business training, or startup support. Courses are offered in English and Spanish, featuring additional assistance at a national level. WVN provides a range of employment and training services, including job search assistance, access to local labor market information, resume writing, and basic computer skills. Skills training can help survivors learn critical skills to meet an employer's or a particular industry's specific needs.WVN teaches life skills, computer, and job training for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other socio-economic challenges. Participants receive the resources, education, and critical-thinking skills training necessary to secure meaningful and gainful employment. The effects of crime can persist for years with life-long implications for some victims. The physical and emotional toll, combined with day-to-day challenges, points to the need to support victims and their families to avoid or mitigate some of the long-term negative impacts. WVN's outreach contributes significantly to community well-being. The meaningful integration of assistance and support for clients and community safety strategies leads to increased public well-being and a host of other positive results such as considerable cost savings, improvements in public health, and increased confidence in the criminal justice system. WVN's goal is to support community integration by offering training for clients to become financially independent through employment.
