Since 1870 the Losi, ancient wine-makers family in Chianti, committed themselves to produce high quality wine. Tranquillo Losi, founders of the estate, chose as oenologist the famous Tancredi Biondi Santi, creator of Brunello di Montalcino, from who he learned a lot of secrets for producing fine wines and then handed down to his sons, Carlo, Alfiero and Emilio, and then, to his nephews, Pietro and Paolo. Over the generations, the Losi family succeeded at preserving the traditional and authentic wine-making culture of Chianti, involving the fifth generation, Riccardo e Valeria.
