A non-profit koodam (shelter in Tamil) to prepare a generation of children from under-resourced communities, that will be familiar and comfortable with digital applications, which will further encourage them to be competitive in the future employment market resulting in socio-economic growth of the community at large.We are currently conducting sessions based out of Chennai Corporation School in Tondiarpet, Chennai.-The learner is encouraged to take ownership of the tasks - right from setting their own goals.-Mentors also provide with or guide towards resources to complete the task. Including not limited to laptops, mobiles, skill-specific training.-A continuous gamified model that incentivises active participation and improvement.-The pedagogy we have adopted at Coderkoodam is to brainstorm a local community problem, bring out a technology-based solution.
