Fares Rural was established by Danny Fakhre, a successful business proprietor with diversified international interests. Mr Fakhre has had a long association with agriculture in Australia, especially Western Australia and through Fares Holdings, owns rural properties in Western Australia.Fares Rural has a core business of producing high quality Kyoto compliant-Australian Carbon Credit Units (Kyoto-ACCUs). The Kyoto-ACCUs are produced from the sequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide by our forests.Fares Rural is now a Registered Offsets Entity and the likes of Qantas have recently purchased their Kyoto-ACCUs.In 2014 Danny Fakhre embarked on a programme to expand the operations of Fares Rural by combining livestock production with existing export, transportation and complementary carbon sequestration capabilities.The focus of Fares Rural is now on: • Vertical integration into Food Security supply and Food Safety.• Purchasing farmland in Australia for sheep, cattle and grain production.• Producing red meat in Australia for live export.• Maintaining an enviable standard of animal health and welfare.• Sea livestock transport.• International livestock trading.• Incorporating environmental activities, which capitalise on the global need for removal of atmospheric carbon pollution. The Fares Rural strategy is to not only to continue environmental activities but also to provide a complete livestock supply chain, from production to delivery.
