Jane Alliance Neighbourhood Services is a non-profit organization committed in providing social services to people from marginalized communities such as immigrants and newcomers.Jane Alliance Neighbourhood Services (JANS), founded in 1999, is a multi-servicecommunity centre for immigrants that has successfully been providing high-quality servicesfor almost 14 years. Our mandate is to provide education, counselling and other supportservices for immigrants in need, women and seniors, including language instruction,employment training, job search programs, translation services and information programson Canadian culture and life. We are committed to offering these services while respectingthe dignities and confidentiality of our clients.JANS promotes the integration of immigrants, women and seniors through holistic servicesand community capacity building. Our experience in offering effective programs andservices to the community is reflected in a friendly community space, where newcomersand neighbours support each other, learn from each other and take action together asresponsible citizens for a more compassionate society. In addition, we offer these serviceswithout discrimination based on gender, cultural background, sexual orientation, ethnicityand religion or place of origin - as enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights andrequired by the Ontario Human Rights Act.
