Shakti Empowerment sources, trains, mentors and supports women to establish community-based micro enterprises and to operate sustainable businesses with self-confidence within the mainstream SMME markets. We facilitate capacity building workshops, which serve to mobilize and motivate women to realize the power they have to drive their personal empowerment and development. This creates a powerful mindset shift from a needs-based to an asset-based approach to development. This results in stimulating radical economic transformation in townships, informal settlements and rural communities by empowering communities through community economic development;We strive to lock in wealth such that it circulates within impoverished communities to ensure support of locally owned businesses, thus creating vibrant, economically sustainable and empowered communities;We create viable businesses that are set up with systems, policies, and processes that ensure businesses are well positioned to succeed; We create a value chain that promotes and supports black empowered women-driven businesses;We micro-franchise suitable community-based businesses after a period of 2 years of successful operation, which results in communities stimulating radical and sustainable economic development.
