The Public Diplomacy Council (PDC) is a nonprofit professional association founded in 1988. The PDC mission is to promote excellence in professional practice, academic study, and advocacy for public diplomacy.A membership organization based in the United States, the PDC focuses on the U.S. Government, especially the State Department and U.S. international broadcasting. PDC Members also observe and learn from the experience of other nations and are keenly interested in comparative public diplomacy. The Council relies on the dues, contributions, and volunteer work of its members, and on gifts and grants. Donations to the Council, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible.
