With the rapid economic growth in the last few decades that culminated into the recent graduation to the lower-middle income country group, the need for diversified professional knowledge in different sectors of the economy is growing in Bangladesh. The sectors range from natural resources (e.g. forests, land, water and mineral), environment, climate change to banking, finance, and private sector development. There is a good number of universities and university-equivalent institutions around the country that mainly provide academic education and training in the sectors mentioned above. The gap between academic education and professional need is huge in Bangladesh. Institutions that can provide high quality professional education and training relevant to various sectors of the economy are just a few in number. Under this backdrop, the Center for Capacity Development & Management (CCDM) aims to harness the knowledge of various professional domains for contributing to skill development, and thus creating more high-quality professionals who can contribute to the development of diverse sectors.CCDM, is an organization created to critically reflect on human development efforts towards enhancing the professional development of resources in terms of their capacity and productivity. As we strive to shrug off the maximum utilization of resources to combat poverty through all capable means, the global community is awakened to a new era of redeveloping its human capital for the envisaged hope of growth and prosperity. In this reflection, CCDM is pleased to present a detailed range of professional training and development courses to help develop an efficient human resource base in both the public and private sector institutions from around the globe.
