One Eighty is youth mental health done differently. The organisation was founded by Paris Jeffcoat and Samantha Callender in 2017 in response to a number of youth suicides that were occurring on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. In particular, it was the suicides of two young men - both of whom were in one of the co-founders cohort from the local high school - that catalysed the creation of the organisation. Our mission is to lead the way for peer-to-peer models of community support, raise the profile of exceptional existing services, and reimagine what youth engagement in the NFP sector looks like. One Eighty is focused on local impact through a grass roots, bottom up approach focusing on prevention and early intervention through our flagship programs.

One Eighty is a organization that helps young people with their mental health. It was started by two women, Paris and Samantha, in 2017 after some young people in their community died by suicide. They wanted to help stop this from happening again. One Eighty wants to show that young people can help each other with mental health problems. They want to make sure that young people can get help early on and that they can get the support they need. They do this by creating programs that are run by young people for young people. They focus on helping young people in their community and want to make sure that they can get the help they need.
