TechieCat is a technology community for women.We believe the world powered by Internet technology will be better when She can play a more active role in it.We are determined to make Internet technology more accessible and inclusive for She by sharing industry insights, offering coding education, helping to expand social network and answering questions. We are a community full of learners and sharers. Currently we held offline events in major cities in China including Beijing,Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Every time, there are excellent speakers to bring fresh ideas and a either workshop for young ladies to play robots and other technical gadgets or bootcamp for coding and programming. We also publish programming tutorials on WeChat three or four times a week.We are partner of Lean In Beijing, TedxChaoyangWomen and have brought our community to TechCrunch Disrupt in Houston, LesbiansWhoTech in NY and Grace Hopper Celebration in Houston. Besides, we've gone deep into campuses to help college girls know more about tech and the whole industry.In one and half year's time, we are proud to have thousands of ladies in our community and we never stop organizing and planning various activities online and off-line to gather more ladies in this industry home and abroad to learn, share and connect.In June 2016, our first official overseas branch TechieCat Africa is set up in Kenya with the board cooperating with UNICEF and Intel.In July 2016, we build partnership with Israel's biggest women technology community SheCodes jointly working on tutorial development and both online and offline inter-pervasion and inter-impact.TechieCat is run by a small team but we are very excited about this project and see it as a part of women empowerment movement. We encourage women to be more active and curious in a world powered by Internet technology and we hope to sparkle them with new ideas in this bigcommunity.
